Propolis is a bee product from which more than 100 chemical compounds have been isolated. They possess synergetic effect and pertain to different chemicals groups - organic acids, alcohols, terpens, vitamins, amino acids, micro elements, inorganic substsns. The biological effect of propolis is due to a great extent to the flavonoids found in it.
Propolis is a biologically active substance, widely used in folk medicine for healing a number of the skin, mucous membrane, respiratory organs and a number of inner organ diseases. It has a manifested anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, anesthetic and desodorating effect. Reduces the biochemical activity of microorganisms and partially neutralizes the toxins, without leading to resistance.
